Look through your wallet, briefcase, purse, and desk for plastic cards you don’t use – expired credit cards and driver’s licenses, shopping reward cards you don’t need to carry, old health insurance cards, old AAA or AARP or other membership cards.
If you don’t want to cut these with scissors, most paper shredders will also do the job. It may have seemed easier to add the new card to your wallet without removing the old or to set them aside for future destruction. However, this creates a confusing clutter of duplicates and you must look through the cards to find the most accurate.
If this doesn’t apply to you: Think twice about making a purchase that would bring a potentially unnecessary item into your home.
