Today is the start of a two-day task. If you can give 15-minutes of your time on each day, today spend ten minutes clearing as much of your kitchen counter as you can and wrap up by washing down the surface.
Return the items that you use all the time, like the toaster and coffeemaker (unless you have space in your cabinets to hide them). Tomorrow you’ll put away the remaining things you cleared off the counter.
Make a mental note of what lands on the counter and stays past it's welcome.
