Do you need your phone to ring every time you get a call or to hear every notification on your phone or computer?
If you’re always twitching when you get a notification, look to quieting your electronic devices. I found notifications set me on edge, even if I knew I wasn’t waiting for something important, because I felt there was an expectation to respond (even if my response was simply looking at an email). I allow very few notifications and feel calmer for it.
Today, create a plan to check in on emails, texts, and other notifications two or three times a day to limit distractions.
