Day 9 of 15/15 (15 days of 15-minute tasks)
Scan your bookshelves for reference books that you can’t remember referring to any time recently. With each book, consider if you go online to search for the specific information or if you in face turn to the book to flip through pages.
I adore the randomness of reference books (I’ll end up reading about topics other than the one I went to research). However, if I don’t open a book then it isn’t really helping provide me with information.
Pruning reference books does involve judging the usefulness of individual books. If you are not longer interested in a topic, only then is it easy to see that the book is no longer helpful to you.
Don’t get caught up in reading these books! Limit the task to no more than 15 minutes.
