Are there items that you need to return to someone or someplace? Gather them and stick them on the front seat of the car so you can’t forget them (provided no one will be sitting there over the next few days).
Next, make a point to return these items when you are out and about. Return the library books or return purchases to stores.
If necessary, text someone to let them know you’ll be leaving items in a bag on the handle of their door. Returning an item to a person doesn’t have to be a big production involving getting together for coffee or lunch.
Not only do you remove items cluttering your home but you'll feel a sense of relief now that you no longer have to remind yourself about these tasks.
