Look at the items that you removed. Why did they end up on the coffee table? If you want things like magazines off the table, create a space for them. Over the next week or so, notice any patterns of items that end up here.
Does this space need to be tidied at the end of each day to clear about mugs, snack plates, or craft supplies? Are there items that need to be given a home? Does a flower arrangement, candle, or coffee table book encourage other items to end up on this surface?
