When we think of decluttering, we tend to focus the physical objects that we can clear. But there are other things that we can release from our life because they don’t support our life and goals – things like our negative thoughts and unrealistic expectations as well as activities that leave us feeling drained.
I'll treat the rest of the month as Self-Care September. If you think of the phrase “self-care” and jump to massages and yoga classes, let’s keep things simpler and easier to do in the moment.
This doesn’t mean that you should halt decluttering physical objects, particularly if this is something that you’re actively engaged in. Instead, look at these daily emailed moments of self-care as small treats that can bolster your motivation and willpower.
Right now, take three, slow, deep breaths. That’s it. Repeat when you feel stressed or tired or in need of a break but you can’t imagine taking a break.
